Couriers over computers – Trump’s New Privacy Policy

Well, it looks like we aren’t the only ones concerned with Internet security these days!

To ring in the New Year, president-elect Donald Trump has announced he favors mail couriers over email to relay critical information. He intends on handwriting messages or dictating them to interns and having them hand-delivered by middlemen, starting January 20, 2017. Trump has previously used courier services for his private financial and real estate business prior to being elected POTUS.

Did you know?: Courier services can be dated back to ancient Roman times.

Trump says he still intends on using Twitter to communicate major policy announcements to his 45 million followers. Even now, he rarely uses email, “doesn’t trust computers”, and reads stacks of newspapers and magazine articles to get his news.

“I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of the computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what’s going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure we have the kind of security we need.” ~ Donald J. Trump, December 2016

Trump’s not alone.

Leading technology experts agree that Trump is right to question existing communication safeguards for his upcoming four years in office and we couldn’t agree more. Cyber-security has been one of the leading topics of the former administration and current election. Trump’s opposer Hillary Clinton’s private email server may have cost her the election and Russian hacking has been suggested to have possibly swayed election results. As mentioned in last weeks blog, President Obama isn’t allowed a smartphone but he uses a iPad tablet on occasion.

Hacking is real.  You can do something about it.

Pretty crazy that we all have to be so concerned about cyber-security.  Do you have your Creep Blockers?  Have your Creep Blocked every computer, iPad, tablet, x box and laptop in the house?  It’s a basic precaution.  It works!
